Applying Your Spanish King Mackerel Fish Stickers:
- Clean Surface: Start by thoroughly cleaning the area where you plan to place the fish sticker. Use a mild detergent and water to remove any dirt, grime, or residue that could affect adhesion.
- Measure and Position: Carefully measure the desired placement of your fish decal on the boat. Use masking tape to mark the edges and ensure proper alignment before applying.
- Peel and Stick: Gently peel the backing off the fish sticker, taking care not to damage the design. Slowly press the sticker onto the cleaned surface, smoothing out any air bubbles as you go.
- Secure Adhesion: Once applied, firmly press down on the entire surface of the fish decal to ensure it sticks securely to the boat. Use a squeegee or soft cloth to remove any remaining air bubbles.
Cleaning the Surface:
- Regular Maintenance: Keep the surface around the fish sticker clean by washing it with soap and water regularly. Avoid using abrasive cleaners that could damage the vinyl.
- Gentle Wiping: When cleaning, use a soft cloth or sponge to gently wipe the surface, being careful not to scratch or peel the edges of the sticker.
Maintaining your sticker:
- Clean the sticker as you do your boat after fishing. Avoid harsh scratches
Removing an old decal to make space for your Spanish King Mackerel Fish Stickers:
- Heat Method: If you need to remove an old decal, use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently warm the vinyl. Once heated, carefully peel off the decal, starting from one corner and pulling slowly to avoid damaging the boat’s surface. Use a mild detergent to remove any sticky residue. A credit card or hard edge can be used to rub off stubborn areas.
