Applying the Barramundi Fish Stickers at Home

The Barramundi fish stickers are printed on high-quality marine-grade vinyl which is soft and flexible so it is easy to apply at home.

Preparing the Surface for Fish Decal:

Before applying your barramundi fish stickers, ensure the surface is thoroughly cleaned and dried. Use a mild detergent (a few drops of dishwashing liquid is fine) and warm water to remove any dirt or grease, then dry with a clean cloth to ensure optimal adhesion.

Applying the Barramundi Fish Sticker:

1. Tape Method: Place a piece of masking tape vertically down the middle of the sticker, creating a hinge. This allows for easier alignment and application. 
2. Positioning: Use a ruler or measuring tape to ensure the sticker is a similar distance from a reference point on both sides of the boat.
3. Peel Off Backing: Gently peel off the backing on one side of the tape line, and cut that half away using a sharp blade exposing the adhesive side of the sticker. Using a credit card, slowly work from the centre to the outer edge, pressing down the exposed half gently, and once the sticker is in place repeat the outward strokes firmly.
4. Remove Backing Completely: Carefully peel off the remaining backing paper, while smoothing the sticker down with the same technique as earlier, again from the centre out.  This helps prevent air bubbles.
5. Smooth Out Bubbles: If air bubbles form, If they are close to the edge they can be worked out using your thumb and fingers to “push” it along until it reaches the edge. Otherwise, gently prick them with a pin and push the air in the bubble towards the hole.

Maintenance and Care:

To maintain the appearance of your barramundi fish sticker, avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Instead, wipe the surface gently with a damp cloth when cleaning. Additionally, periodically press down on the sticker with a credit card to ensure secure adhesion and longevity.
